When should I arrive and where should I park?
Parking is easy, but arriving a few minutes before our service times will help in finding a parking place, and leave time to get some coffee and getting your children checked in. Guests are welcome to park on 31st Street directly in front of the building, or near the carport on the East entrance.
Can I bring my children?
Please do! Children are always welcome in our assembly! We provide a staffed nursery of caring adults to care for children from birth to 24 months during our worship assembly. During our Bible class times we have age appropriate lessons from the Bible being presented by safe, caring adults in classrooms around our building. Just go to Kid's Checkin (in Common Groundz) to drop your child off. If your child stays in our worship service, we also have a kids lesson (Children's Church) during the worship assembly. All our children from the youngest to 3rd grade are invited to participate by going down front on the steps of the stage where they can worship and learn on their own level. This only lasts a few minutes, and children will be given an activity sheet to work on during the remainder of the service before returning to their seats. There are also brightly colored activity bags at the back of the auditorium that are designed to help our children learn during our worship time. Feel free to grab one and let your children play with the toys, read the books, and eat the snacks inside.
What should I expect at a Sunday morning worship gathering?
You will be welcomed with smiling faces, donuts, and coffee! Common Groundz (our coffee area) is located just inside the 31st Street entrance. Our assemblies last between 1 and 1.5 hours. We sing praises to God together. We pray for each other and our community. We remember Jesus’ death and celebrate his resurrection through communion. We will also hear a compelling and relevant message from the Bible.
Following this time of worship, we have small group classes that meet. Classes for your kids are always available as well. Childcare checkin is located inside Common Groundz.
What should I expect at Celebrate Recovery?
Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a different type of worship and learning experience. You will experience good music, powerful testimonies, and life changing lessons focused on recovering from our hurts, habits, and hangups through the power and love of Jesus Christ. We eat a meal together, and we also have small group sharing times that are completely confidential. What is said in the room stays in the room. Free childcare is always available during CR. No matter what hurt, habit, or hangup you are dealing with, Christ offers healing and forgiveness. Join us!
What do I wear?
You are welcome at East Side just as you are. You’ll see t-shirts, jeans, shorts, ties, dresses, and everything in between. Whatever you’re comfortable wearing is fine with us. We believe that it’s the attitude of your heart that matters to God rather than your physical appearance.
How do I become a member?
To begin a conversation about making East Side your church home, talk to any of our ministers, elders, or contact the church office by phone (325-573-3583) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information. We'd love to talk about what being a part of Christ's Kingdom, and a part of the family at East Side looks like.
